Spiderwood is a light-colored wood type frequently used in hardscapes. Due to its erratic shapes and unique pieces, spiderwood is perfectly suited for use in combination with stones.

When Spiderwood is placed in an aquarium, fungi can appear, caused by bacteria in the wood. This results in an oily substance or a white slime layer. This will disappear after a few weeks. Our advice is to always allow the wood to 'soak' thoroughly first and to change the water regularly.
