Driftwood (Mangrove wood) is a beautiful type of wood for aquariums. Thanks to its intricate character, you can create a unique underwater world.

The branches/roots can optionally be covered with various moss species and epiphytes. In combination with aquarium stones, you create the most natural look.

Initially, driftwood will float and release tannins that will color the water brown. This can be reduced by soaking the wood beforehand.

Over time, the discoloration of the water will lessen, and you can proceed with placing it in the aquarium.
