Spiderwood is a light-colored type of wood frequently used in hardscapes. Its irregular shapes and distinctive pieces make spiderwood exceptionally suitable for use with stones.

When Spiderwood is placed in an aquarium, fungi can form, caused by the bacteria in the wood.

This results in an oily substance or a white slimy layer. This disappears after a few weeks. Our advice is to always let the wood 'soak' thoroughly first and to change the water regularly.
