Spiderwood is a light-colored type of wood that is often used in hardscapes. Due to its irregular shapes and unique pieces, spiderwood is ideal for use with stones.

When Spiderwood is placed in an aquarium, fungi can grow due to bacteria in the wood.

This results in an oily substance or a white slimy layer. This will disappear after a few weeks. Our advice is to always thoroughly 'soak' the wood first and regularly change the water.
