Driftwood (Mangrove wood) is a beautiful type of wood for aquariums. Thanks to its intricate character, you can create a unique underwater world. The branches/roots can optionally be covered with various types of moss and epiphytes.

In combination with aquarium stones, you can create the most natural look. Driftwood will initially float and release tannins, which will color the water brown. This can be reduced by soaking the wood for a while first.

Over time, the discoloration of the water will diminish, and you can then place it in the aquarium.
