Dark Seiryu Rock is black in color and has an irregular appearance. It is the ideal stone for 'iwagumi' scapes. Dark Seiryu has emerged in recent years and has become one of the most favorite stones.
We sell Dark Seiryu Rock in all sizes. For a beautiful scape, it is important to work with different sized stones. This ensures a natural look.
We also sell unique XS stones. These very small stones are ideal for completing the whole or for special NANO scapes. This stone is calcareous and will increase the hardness and thus the pH of the water.
For shrimp scapes, it is important to lower the pH to the desired value with a pH-lowering substrate (aqua soil) or by mixing with osmosis water.
Dark Seiryu Rock is available from XL to XS.
- XL are stones weighing more than 2.5 kg.
- Large are stones weighing 1.5kg to 2.5 kg.
- Medium are stones weighing 1kg to 1.5kg.
- Small are stones weighing 0.5kg to 1kg.
- XS are stones weighing up to 0.5kg.
FAQs
Yes and no. Some stones are completely inert. This means that they do not affect the water parameters. These are Black Lava Rock, Petrified Wood, and Dragon Stone.
Seiryu Rock, Pagoda, Maple Leaf, and Dark Seiryu contain lime which can cause an increase in pH. By using, for example, a Co2 installation or by refreshing with partial osmosis, you can counteract these effects.
Yes, absolutely! An aquascape looks best when you use different sizes of stones and/or pieces of wood. This makes it look more natural and achieves the desired effect.

The shipping costs for your order will be calculated at checkout based on the weight of the package. You will always know the shipping costs in advance. For orders up to 20 kg within the Netherlands, shipping costs start from €7.95. We ship with PostNL or DHL.

YES! The whole idea behind our webshop is that you always know beforehand which stone or piece of wood you are buying. We ourselves went crazy buying by the kilo, always ending up with unusable stones.
That is now a thing of the past. We photograph everything, and you can choose the most beautiful stones yourself.
