Spiderwood is a light-colored type of wood often used in hardscapes. Due to its irregular shapes and unique pieces, spiderwood is perfectly suited for use in combination with stones.

When spiderwood is placed in an aquarium, fungi can develop, caused by bacteria in the wood. This results in an oily substance or a white slime layer. This will disappear after a few weeks. Our advice is to always allow the wood to 'soak in' thoroughly first and to regularly change the water.
